Lara Stembridge
Lara is both a highly skilled gymnast (on vault, asymmetric bars, beam & floor) and a qualified gymnastics judge. She has been a member of Kent county squad for over a decade and is the only gymnast in Kent to qualify for National Grade Finals in five consecutive years.
Lara is a three-time Kent Champion at Challenge Level and a two-time floor champion at the English Championships. While studying Clinical Psychology at the University of Kent she won the BUCS Gymnastics title in 2020 and then successfully defended her title in 2022 (with a covid-enforced gap in between). For this her university gave her the accolade of Sport Scholar of the Year for 2021-22.
Lara intends to work in the mental health field and is proud to have co-written an essay for the World Alzheimer’s Report 2022 and also spoken at the UK Dementia Congress 2022.
